History
In the centre of town, located between the cafe and the public toilets is a shed which houses the history of Marnoo and district. Well worth a look.
George and Annis Bils Horse Trough
Close by the entrance to the football oval is an example of a George and Annis Bils horse trough, one of many donated by them to towns throughout Australia and beyond. This example is currently in a poor state of disrepair but plans are being put in place to restore it and relocate it to a more prominent position.
Tours of our award winning recycling system
Marnoo was the 2008 winner of the Tidy Towns award in the category of Zero Waste. Tours of this facility can be given by arrangement. Contact us for more information.
For the Future
Walking/cycling in and around Marnoo
In the near future we hope to establish walking and cycle tracks in the area. These are likely to be 5-20km in length to suit everyone. Watch this space.
Wetlands
Digging has already begun to establish a wetlands area on the southern edge of town to attract birds and wildlife. It won't happen overnight, but something else to watch out for in the future.
Collectables Fair
Dates are now being discussed to hold a Collectables Fair which, if sucessful, would become an annual event. If you are a collector and wish to display your collectables or even to sell them in Marnoo, please feel free to express your interest through this website.
